Adaptive reuse of an abandoned department store in downtown Stamford. The existing building was stripped to bare bones before constructing a new skin and other major interventions. The concept was conceived to provide ultimate transparency to revitalize the pedestrian downtown. The building acts as a catalyst for other positive development in the neighborhood, which has now been fully achieved.
This project was designed by Aaron B. Schwarz and other Perkins Eastman team members during Aaron’s tenure as Principal and Executive Director of the firm.
