PLAN A

UCONN Stamford | Plan A

University of Connecticut, Stamford - Adaptive reuse of an abandoned department store in downtown Stamford.  The existing building was stripped to bare bones and a new skin and other major interventions were employed.  The concept was conceived to provide ultimate transparency to revitalize the pedestrian downtown and to be a catalyst for other positive development in the neighborhood, which has now been fully achieved.

This project was designed by Aaron B. Schwarz and other Perkins Eastman team members during Aaron’s tenure as Principal and Executive Director of the firm.
